Field Tech Installer

About You

Role Summary

The Installer completes the installation of storage systems that are designed specifically for healthcare facilities. Referring to instructions and schematic drawings, ensures all components of the storage system are installed per the required specifications. As an Installer you will be expected to travel to client locations and work closely with specific healthcare personnel. The installations are performed on-site within a healthcare facility, while completing the physical assembly and installation of storage solutions. In this role, you will work independently or at times with other team members and with limited supervision. In some instances, overnight travel may be required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Interprets and understands the design illustrations/drawings and associated project plans which outline the objectives of the project scope of work and project components

  • Uses common hand tools to assemble storage components that comprise the custom storage solutions

  • Coordinates with the client contacts including clinical staff and supply chain management for coordination of onsite work, involvement needed from their staff, priorities, and other relevant communications

  • Communicates clearly with both internal and external teams

  • Plans and coordinates travel and lodging as necessary to ensure adherence with scheduling requirements

  • Reviews and analyzes project change requests and makes recommendations on how best to execute

  • Complies with internal procedures for tracking, reporting, and processing company-related expenses

  • Participates in projects or other related activities at the UNICAS Warehouse facility during times when fieldwork is limited

  • Performs project closure activities including discussing lessons learned and review of best practices

  • Assists other personnel as required

Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience with client facing installation work, preferably in the Healthcare industry

  • Ability to problem solve, build action plans, and communicate findings

  • Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining schedules and deadlines

  • Communicate with diverse groups of people and work as part of a team

  • Lift, carry, push, pull or guide up to 50 or more pounds individually or with assistance

  • Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift and other warehouse equipment

  • Operate standard office equipment and related software

  • Ability to travel overnight to client locations across the United States

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Salary:

  • $55,000 – $60,000 per year
